Teachers’ Day was celebrated at Sainik School Ghorakhal with great zeal and enthusiasm. The day commenced with the prayer and lighting of the lamp to honour and pay homage to Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. The cadets extended a grand welcome to all teachers as a token of reverence.A special morning assembly was organised by cadets and in the afternoon a friendly cricket match was played between teachers and students. In the evening, a cultural program was organised by the cadets. The cadets presented an array of programmes like speeches,Skit, songs and dance. The Chief Guest, Group Captain VS Dangwal extended warm greetings and wishes to all teachers. During his address, he emphasised that being a teacher is not a profession, but a great responsibility. He felicitated the teachers as to acknowledge and appreciate their hard work and dedication. After the felicitation ceremony, the staff and cadets enjoyed special dinner.
