Sainik School Ghorakhal witnessed an exhilarating display of athleticism and camaraderie as the school’s annual cross country event unfolded on 29 Oct.2023. The event started with the flag off ceremony by the Principal of the School, Group Captain Vijay Singh Dangwal. In this competition, 208 students of senior group covered a distance of 10 km. A group of 176 students from junior group covered a distance of 5 km. An exciting race was organized to encourage participation of class VI boys and girls. In junior group, Abhimanyu house emerged winner and in senior group, Kesari house emerged winner. The winners of the event were awarded medals, and the top- performing house i.e. Kesari House received the coveted cross country trophy, enhancing the competitive yet congenial atmosphere. However, what stood out the most was the sense of unity and camaraderie among all participants, exemplifying the values of Sainik School. The event concluded with the address by the Chief Guest, Gp Capt VS Dangwal. He emphasized, “This event is not just about winning; it’s about pushing your limits and working as a team. Our students have shown immense spirit today.”
