Inspiring the Next Generation of Leaders
Sainik School Ghorakhal was honoured to welcome its distinguished alumnus, Colonel Yogesh Chauhan, for an inspiring interaction with the cadets.
An alumnus who joined the National Defence Academy in 2003, Colonel Chauhan has built an illustrious career in the Indian Army, earning the President’s Silver Medal, Best Officer Like Qualities Medal, and standing First in the Armoured Corps at the Indian Military Academy. During his distinguished service, he successfully commanded 4 Rashtriya Rifles in Jammu & Kashmir and was awarded the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief’s Commendation Card for his exemplary service.
Sharing his journey from the classrooms of Sainik School Ghorakhal to leading soldiers in challenging operational areas, Colonel Chauhan inspired cadets with invaluable lessons on leadership, discipline, resilience, courage, and selfless service. His interaction and real-life experiences left the young cadets motivated to pursue excellence and serve the nation with dedication.
The event concluded with the presentation of the school memento to the distinguished officer by Gp Capt Madhu Sengar, the Principal.
The school fraternity extends its heartfelt gratitude to Colonel Yogesh Chauhan for returning to his alma mater and inspiring the future leaders of the Armed Forces.
