Maj Gen Atul Rawat, AVSM, Additional Director General, NCC Uttarakhand Directorate visited the Sainik School Ghorakhal on 13 Dec 2023.
Gp Capt VS Dangwal, Principal of the school received the ADG with warm greetings. The Major General received NCC ceremonial Guard of Honor followed by the magnificent band display by the school band team in perfect harmony.
The Major General’s presence served to motivate and inspire the young cadets reinforcing the values of leadership, courage and discipline. The officer shared his insights and experience with the cadets and the staff. In his address, Maj Gen elaborated on the role of NCC in shaping the youth into becoming responsible citizens and the importance of a strong foundation in character building and education. He particularly conveyed, whatever anyone wants to accomplish in life, there are no short cuts to success. He emphasized the importance of academics and co-curricular activities in boarding schools.
Maj Gen commended the school authority for its commitment to nurturing future leaders and instilling sense of duty and patriotism in the cadets. The officer’s visit left a lasting impact on both cadets and staff reinforcing significance of the Sainik schools in shaping the future leaders of the nation.
