The prestigious Defence Minister’s Trophy is awarded to the Sainik Schools for sending the largest number of cadets to NDA. Sainik School Ghorakhal has the honour of winning this esteemed trophy for a remarkable 9 times.
Addingtoitsglory, in aproud moment for Sainik School Ghorakhal, the institution has been awarded 10th Defence Minister’s Trophyin recognition of its outstanding contribution to the nation by producing the highest number of cadets joining the National Defence Academy (NDA). The trophy was presented to Gp Capt VS Dangwal, Principal, Sainik School Ghorakhal by Hon’ble Raksha Rajya Mantri, Sri Sanjay Seth who presided over the Principals’ Conference held at Sainik School Tilaiya. A total of 33 Sainik Schools across the country participated in the conference. Sainik School Ghorakhal had been celebrating excellence in military education and training sinceits inception in 1966.
The School has long upheld a legacy of discipline, leadership and academicbrilliance. The 10th Defence Minister’s Trophyreceived by the school is a testament to its consistent performance and the dedication of its staff and cadets. This trophy is not just a symbol of excellence and mark of victory but also a great source of motivation. This year also, 26 cadets from Sainik School Ghorakhal cleared SSB in line with the expected results. Sainik School Ghorakhal is all set to receive this rare honour 11th time in future.
Gp Capt VS Dangwal, the Principal of Sainik School Ghorakhal expressed immense pride in the achievement. With this milestone, Sainik School Ghorakhal continues to cement its position as one of the premier feeder institutions to the Indian Armed Forces, inspiring future generations to serve the nation with valor and distinction.
