Three-Day CCRT Workshop Conducted at Sainik School Ghorakhal
Sainik School Ghorakhal successfully hosted a three-day Capacity Building Workshop conducted by the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT), New Delhi) from 2 Dec to 4 Dec 2025. The workshop aimed at enriching cadets and teachers understanding of Indias cultural heritage and integrating cultural components into classroom teaching as envisioned in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The workshop was inaugurated by Principal, Gp Capt VS Dangwal, who welcomed the CCRT resource team led by Dr. Rahul Kumar, Deputy Director, CCRT, along with other esteemed faculty members. In his address, the Principal highlighted the importance of cultural orientation for teachers in fostering holistic and value-based education.
Over the course of three days, participating cadets and teachers engaged in diverse sessions and activities like Music, Dance,Theatre, Paper craft, Madhubani paintings, Pottery making etc. Hands-on activities, including group work, reflective exercises, and art-based learning modules, enabled teachers to explore new approaches to enhance student engagement.
In the valedictory ceremony, Dr. Rahul Kumar appreciated the enthusiasm of the faculty and commended Sainik School Ghorakhal for its commitment to professional development. Certificates were distributed to all participants.
The Principal thanked the CCRT team for their valuable contribution and expressed confidence that the training would translate into enriched classroom practices and a deeper appreciation of India’s cultural diversity among cadets.
The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks marking the successful culmination of an enriching and inspiring three-day learning experience.
