HYPERLINK “https://was.edupage.org/” \h Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Dehradun, hosted the prestigious Kashi Naresh Vagvibhuti Narayan Singh All India Inter-School Hindi Debate Competition on 14th September, 2024 on the occasion of Hindi Diwas, witnessing participation from 12 renowned schools across the country: RIMC, Dehradun, RIMC Ajmer, Wynberg-Allen School, Mussorie, The TonsBridge School Dehradun, The Doon School, Dehradun, Marshall School, Dehradun, Colonel Satsangi’s Kiran Memorial Public School, Delhi, Kasiga School, Dehradun, Birla School, Pilani, Doon Internatioanl School, Dehradun, Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya, Gwalior, Sainik School Ghorakhal.

HYPERLINK “https://was.edupage.org/”\h The competition was held in three phases – two qualifying rounds and a final round. In the first phase, all 12 schools participated. Eight schools qualified for the second phase and only 4 schools could qualify for the final and third phase/round wherein Sainik School Ghorakhal also appeared. After three rounds of intense competition, Sainik School Ghorakhal emerged winner, showcasing exceptional debating prowess and teamwork. The students captivated the audience and judges alike with their well- structured arguments, confident delivery and ability to counter the opposing team’s points effectively. It is a proud moment that Sainik School Ghorakhal clinched the 1st position.

The event was a vibrant display of intellect, oratory skills, and critical thinking, as students engaged in heated yet constructive debate on the topic given.
Cadet Malank of Sainik School Ghorakhal was awarded the second Best Speaker Award and Cadet Lakshya Pratap was awarded the Chief Guest Special Award.
The event, aimed at fostering a spirit of healthy competition and
enhancing communication skills among young cadets, concluded
with a grand felicitation ceremony.
The prestigious ‘Running Trophy’ was claimed by Sainik School
Ghorakhal. This trophy was provided to RIMC in 1963 by the King of
Kashi. Since then, this prestigious competition is organized every
year. Commandant Colonel Rahul Aggarwal warmly welcomed all the
guests and praised all the participants for their participation and
excellent performance.
