Science Live Demonstration Held at Sainik School Ghorakhal
A captivating Science Live Demonstration Programme was conducted at Sainik School Ghorakhal for two days : 31st Oct and 1st Nov. by Mr. Chandra Sekhar Prasad, Education Officer, Palampur Science Centre, National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), Himachal Pradesh.The programme was coordinated by Mr GS Joshi, Head of the Department, Physics.
Mr. Prasad, who has over two decades of experience in promoting science learning through interactive exhibits and demonstrations, conducted a series of exciting experiments that kindled scientific curiosity among the cadets. The demonstrations showcased fascinating scientific principles related to Physics, Chemistry, and environmental science, emphasizing the practical application of concepts learned in classrooms.
Students from PM Shri Government Inter College, Bheerapani, Mohan Lal Sah Bal Vidya Mandir, Nainital, Lakes International School, Bhimtal, and Nirmala Academy, Gethiya also participated and witnessed the live experiments with great enthusiasm.
Mr. Prasad encouraged students to adopt a hands-on approach to learning science and to nurture a spirit of inquiry and innovation. The programme not only enriched the scientific understanding of the cadets but also motivated them to explore science beyond textbooks.
A captivating Taramandal Show was also organised to ignite scientific curiosity and interest in astronomy among the cadets. During the show, cadets were introduced to various celestial phenomena including constellations, planets, and the movement of stars across the night sky. The visual presentation offered a realistic simulation of the cosmos, sparking enthusiasm for space science and exploration among young minds.The programme provided cadets with a unique opportunity to expand their scientific outlook and develop a deeper appreciation for the mysteries of space.
The event concluded with the presentation of souvenir to Mr Prasad by the Principal, Gp Capt VS Dangwal.
