Sainik School Ghorakhal celebrated Hindi Pakhwada with great zeal and enthusiasm from 1st September to 14th September 2024. The purpose of the event was to make students realize that Hindi is not just a means of communication, it is a culture and heritage they all should take pride in; as it is the mother tongue only that connects people deeply to their culture and roots. The fortnight-long event aimed at promoting the use of Hindi in daily life and appreciating the rich heritage of the language.
During these two weeks, various Hindi competitions were conducted like Calligraphy, Recitation and Declamation, Essay Writing, Debate etc. To encourage cadets and to enhance their creativity, ‘Bhav Chitra Pratiyogita’ was also organized where they presented beautiful posters on relevant themes. Cadets from all classes participated with full enthusiasm, making the event a grand success.
On 14th of September 2024, a debate competition was organized for senior group wherein Kumaon House emerged winner. While addressing the audience, the Chief Guest, Gp Capt VS Dangwal appealed to cadets to learn and respect Hindi language while respecting the multilingual fabric of India. He conveyed his good wishes and appreciation to the Head of Hindi Department, Mrs Geeta Durgapal and other committee members for their commitment and dedication towards organizing Hindi Pakhwada. Special lunch was also organized for the committee members and participants.
