The primary objective of the Sainik Schools is to prepare students academically, mentally and physically for entry into the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Indian Naval Academy (INA). Sainik Schools play a pivotal role in shaping the future leaders of the Indian Armed Forces. Sainik School Ghorakhal provides a structured and rigorous framework that prepares young aspirants for a career in the military. Sainik School Ghorakhal has been significantly contributing towards NDA entries since its inception.
The School is the proud recipient of Defence Minister’s Trophy for 9 times and soon it will have 10th trophy to its credit. This year also, 37 cadets have cleared UPSC NDA written examination 2023 (152 NDA 114 INA) which is the highest number among all 33 Sainik Schools in India. It is worth mentioning that from previous batches, 29 cadets cleared the exam this year, making a total of 66. Gp Capt VS Dangwal congratulated all qualified cadets on their brilliant achievement and advised them to stay focused till they achieve their final target.
