Sainik School Ghorakhal had the honour of hosting Lt Gen M.K. Katiyar, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, an illustrious alumnus of the school and a distinguished senior officer of the Indian Army, during his visit to the campus on Nov 28.
The General Officer was accorded a warm welcome by the Principal, staff, and cadets. His visit evoked immense pride as he is one of the finest role models produced by the institution.
Lt Gen Katiyar addressed the cadets, sharing valuable insights from his remarkable journey in the Armed Forces. He emphasized the virtues of discipline, perseverance, and integrity — qualities that form the foundation of Sainik School Ghorakhal’s ethos. He motivated cadets to aim high, stay committed to their goals, and contribute meaningfully to the nation.
During his interaction, the General Officer revisited nostalgic memories from his days at the school and appreciated the continued efforts of the faculty in moulding future leaders of the country. He also commended the school’s recent achievements in academics, sports, and training. Dr RP Tripathi, TGT Mathematics proudly received GOC commendation from the Officer for his dedicated service to the school.
Gp Capt VS Dangwal, thr Principal presented school memento to the Officer as a gesture of remembrance and gratitude. Lt Gen Katiyar was presented a souvenir by the OBA also.
